Sunday Music: December 15, 2024

This is the song whose chorus I (Jen) was singing to myself in the dark of my room at Trinity Lutheran Seminary when I couldn’t sleep on the night of September 11, 2001. It had been sung a lot at my Episcopal parish in California, and it was a source of comfort. We are singing the words as our canticle this morning, so here it is to help get you in the mood for worship.

(“Surely It Is God Who Saves Me” by Jack Noble White, sung by the choir of St. David’s Episcopal Church)
