Last Sunday’s Blessing of the Animals demonstrates once again that our relaitionship with our pets is certainly a manifestation of God’s love, and a way that we experience our own humanity in the act of returning the love they give us. After all, next to God, who loves us more unconditionally than our pets, right?
Thanks to everyone who brought their pets with them to the service, and who joined us in walking across the street and “back into the neighborhood” with their pooches, exotic geese (alright…one exotic goose), and even photos of kitties (let’s hear it for Ray DeBoer’s orange tabby).
