One of the spiritual disciplines of the Episcopal church is the use of a three-year cycle of readings called the Lectionary. In this cycle or readings we read the vast majority of scripture from both the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. The use of such cycle of readings is very ancient. The Jewish faith had appointed readings for the day long before Jesus’ time. We use the Revised Common Lectionary, with modifications for the Anglican Tradition.

Here are the readings for the church year “C” beginning in Advent of 2009 and through November of 2010.
